Ordway is pleased to present the Midwest premiere of dre.dance, a quickly rising New York-based group that uses contemporary dance as their base for exploring topics in contemporary society. The performance that they will share with us is called "beyond.words," and was created following intensive study through workshops, residency, and interviews with people affected by Autism Spectrum Disorders.

Andrew Palermo, Artistic Director of dre.dance, will lead a lecture/demonstration about beyond.words, a dance piece developed following intensive study through workshops, residency, and interviews with people with autism. He will explain the piece’s creation and evolution, and will demonstrate examples of movement from the piece.
