School Performance Study Guides

Filled with information about the culture, history, and vocabulary of an art form, Ordway study guides extend student learning from the stage to the classroom. Grade appropriate activities and discussion questions provide a deeper context for each show.

Educators who register for a school performance, in person or online, will receive a copy of the show’s study guide prior to the performance.

Talking to kids about race

Ordway Education has collected these resources for our students, educators, and families to learn together and have discussions about race.

Polkadots: The Cool Kids Musical

Polkadots: The Cool Kids Musical follows 8-year-old Lily Polkadot who just moved to the “Squares Only” small town of Rockaway. Inspired by the events of Ruby Bridges and The Little Rock 9, Polkadots serves as a colorful history lesson for children, reminding them that our individual differences make us awesome, not outcasts.
