Kenny Endo 45th Anniversary Tour

Taiko returns to the Ordway at last! Come celebrate Kenny Endo's 45th Anniversary as one of the world's leading artists in contemporary percussion and rhythm. As a jazz percussionist and early taiko pioneer, Kenny Endo continues to stretch the genre, incorporating influences like funk, jazz, Afro-Cuban & Hawaiian, with roots firmly grounded in tradition. Based in Hawaii, Endo tours worldwide with his Contemporary Ensemble – taiko, vibes, drums, ‘ukulele, flute, koto (or shamisen) performed by renowned performers from the U.S. and Japan. Joining him onstage will also be local favorites, Ensō Daiko.
