Abby Mueller and Christine Sherrill make each other laugh. While doing a musical together in Chicago, they discovered they had the same sense of humor and became backstage bosom buddies. They’ve been winter-spring-summer-or-fall-all-you-have-to-do-is-call friends and kindred spirits ever since. They’re both masterful artists that command the stage, and each theater royalty in their own right: Abby is Queen Jane Seymour in the Broadway musical SIX, and Christine played Donna the Dancing Queen in the Ordway’s acclaimed production of Mamma Mia! About the Artists
Abby Mueller is a New York-based, Chicago-bred actor, singer, and voiceover artist who made her Broadway debut in Kinky Boots. She returned to Broadway to play Carole King in Beautiful: The Carole King Musical, later reprising that same role in the national touring company. Her off-Broadway credits include A Minister’s Wife at Lincoln Center Theater and the workshop production of School of Rock at Gramercy Theatre. Abby played Abigail Adams in 1776 at both American Conservatory Theater and Asolo Repertory Theatre, and her other regional credits include Chicago Shakespeare Theater, Drury Lane Theatre, Marriott Theatre, and the Fulton Theatre Utah Shakespeare Festival.
Christine Sherrill made her Twin Cities debut as Donna in the Ordway production of Mamma Mia! Known for her versatility, heart, and vocal prowess, she enjoys a robust career in New York as a stage, screen, voice-over, and motion capture artist. Washington D.C. audiences may remember her portrayal as Kate in D.C. Shakespeare’s Kiss Me, Kate opposite Tony nominee Douglas Sills. Christine originated the role of Elise in the pre-Broadway run of First Wives Club for director Simon Phillips, starring alongside Tony winner Faith Prince and Tony nominee Carmen Cusack. Winner of the 2013 Joseph Jefferson Award for her portrayal of Norma Desmond in Sunset Boulevard, this Chicago-bred, New York-based actor may also be familiar to DC audiences as Violet in Signature Theatre’s production of The Fix. Las Vegas welcomed Christine with critical acclaim for her depiction of Donna in Mamma Mia!. This mom of three carries a master’s degree in child development, and has garnered many awards while touring nationally at some of the county’s most prestigious venues Chicago’s Ravinia Festival, The Goodman, Shakespeare, Orpheum, Shubert, and Oriental Theatres.
