Saint Paul Public Library

"Making Connections" through storytelling

Storytelling to explore the world around us

The Saint Paul Public Library is the cornerstone of our thriving city. We welcome people of all ages and cultures, strengthen neighborhoods and communities, and connect all to a world of knowledge.

You are never more than a few miles away from a Saint Paul Public Library location. We have 13 locations throughout Saint Paul and a Bookmobile that makes stops at schools and neighborhoods all over the city.

The library is the community's place to learn, explore, and participate in activities ranging from storytimes for kids to computer classes for adults. Nearly all library events, classes, and services are free. SPPL is a member of the Metropolitan Library Service Agency, a consortium of eight Twin Cities library systems. Each year, the Saint Paul Public Library partners with the Flint Hills Family Festival to promote Summer Spark, a summer learning program at the library. Summer Spark encourages kids to have fun, stay active, and keep learning all summer long.
