Free outdoor performances
Artists from around the world and here at home showcase music, dance, and more on our outdoor stages.
Local performers and organizations offer art-making, educational activities, games, and more in Rice Park and surrounding areas.
Featured outdoor performance: Squonk Opera’s Cycle Sonic
Cycle Sonic celebrates bicycles with human-powered stages, propelled by original chamber rock music… and the performers’ legs! Sprouting bulb-horns and whirligigs, whistles and bells, these parade floats become instruments of music through the swirl and thump of wheel and pedal. A pageant of double-decker bike-stages creates a merry Cycle Sonic ruckus.
Located in Rice Park across from the Ordway, Cycle Sonic will perform multiple times throughout the Festival! All performances are free and unticketed, and recommended for all ages. Find out more on the Outdoor Performances page.
