2018 Flint Hills Family Festival

Thank you to all of the children, families, artists, teachers, volunteers, Festival partners, and sponsors who made the 2018 Flint Hills Family Festival the best one yet!

Stay tuned for information on the 2019 Flint Hills Family Festival — coming soon!

The tradition of the Flint Hills International Children’s Festival is getting a makeover! As families grow, we want the annual experience of the Festival to grow with them. That’s why we are reimagining what it means for families to ‘Play at the Ordway’ for this year’s celebration of imagination and fun. Expect outdoor dance parties; giant, inflatable light-up sculptures; and interactive art-making for the whole family!

Free Festivities & Activities, Family-Friendly Performances, Food Trucks, and More!

This year at the Festival, enchanting indoor performances tell the stories of mice rocketing to outer space, an adorable panda bear and her home, dancers that become the game Tetris on stage—and then invite you to join them!—and musicians that create magical moments with danceable tunes in Spanish and English. With free art-filled experiences outdoors, tickets to indoor shows at just $8 a seat, and select Pay What You Wish performances on Saturday afternoon (limited availability, day of performance only), the Festival is designed for you to come bring the whole family and experience it all. The Ordway and Flint Hills Resources invite you to make a lifetime of memories at this year’s Festival on June 1st and 2nd. Won’t you join us?
