Onstage Seating to Once On This Island

Thank you for your interest in an onstage seat for Once On This Island at the Ordway! These seats offer a unique and involved way to experience the performance, with the story of Ti Moune being told all around you. By sitting in this area, you are also a part of the story, as you will be visible to the performers and the rest of the audience.

For this reason, and for your safety and the safety of the performers, here are the guidelines you and your group will need to know:

Guidelines

All onstage seating is general admission, and seats are bleacher-style seating. For the safety of performers and patrons, programs will not be distributed to audience members seated on stage until after the performance.

Late seating

As a member of the onstage audience, you must arrive to the theater at least 15 minutes prior to the performance’s beginning to allow time to be seated. If you are not seated before the performance begins, you will not be seated onstage. Late patrons may be re-seated in the theater, depending on availability.

Personal belongings

Since some of the show’s action takes place throughout the seating area, a coat and bag check will be provided for the secure storage of your personal items. All large coats, bags, cellular phones, and other personal items must be checked with the venue attendant prior to the start of the performance in order to keep the seating areas and pathways clear. Please limit the number of items you bring to the theater on the day of the performance.

Dress code

Please come dressed in clothing that is solid colored and simple in design so as not the draw focus away from the performance. We request that you not wear clothing that may contain vulgar, offensive, or politically charged sayings or images; clothing that may be deemed inappropriate for younger audience members; and watches, shoes, or other items that may light up or glow. Out of consideration to the actors, please also refrain from wearing strong perfume or cologne.

Programs

For artistic reasons, you will not receive the show program until the end of the performance.

Restrooms and concessions

The performance runs 90 minutes without an intermission, so please plan your trips to the restroom and concession areas accordingly. Food and beverages are not permitted on the stage or at your seat.

View of the performance

These seats offer a side/rear view of some of the performance. Please note that some aspects of the action may be obstructed.

Management reserves the right to relocate or remove any patrons during this performance.
