Join in the fun virtually! A ticket to the online performance gets you digital access to a livestream on Friday, June 4 at 12:30pm, and to an on-demand recording available June 7–11.

We are thrilled to be welcoming back a crowd favorite to the Flint Hills Family Festival! The Okee Dokee Brothers will be sharing their gift of music with us on June 4–5 on the Ordway’s loading dock. Per CDC guidelines and COVID-19 precautions, the performance will be socially-distanced, so you can simply enjoy the music of this talented, Minnesota-based band. They will be joined by celebrated Mexican musician Sonia De Los Santos for the performance “Somos Amigos: Songs on Common Ground.”

As the Festival is intended to bring art to everyone in an accessible and relatable way, the program will be a bilingual celebration of different cultures and highlight how we all benefit from exchanging, sharing, understanding, and appreciating our differences. There is immense power in connecting through music, and this show is sure to have you singing, dancing, and laughing with loved ones and strangers alike.

The Okee Dokee Brothers continue to be a source of love and light, affecting change through their music, as well as their actions off the stage. The folk duo, made up of Justin Lansing and Joe Mailander, have been nominated for numerous awards over the years. They declined their 2021 Grammy nomination for the Best Children’s Album award, citing the need to recognize women and artists of color, who are all too often overlooked. Their performance alongside Sonia De Los Santos is a perfect illustration of the coming togetherness we all need, and thrive in.
