Ordway 2016-2017 School Performance Tickets Now On Sale

The Ordway Center for the Performing Arts today announced that school performance tickets for the 2016-17 season are now on sale. Tickets range from $3.50 to $15 and can be purchased by phone at 651-282-3115, or by filling out an order form at http://www.ordway.org/education/school-performances and mailing it to 345 Washington Street, Saint Paul, MN 55102 or faxing it to 651-215-2135.

This season’s discounted school ticket prices are offered for the Performing Arts Classroom Series, the Broadway Songbook® Series, a special engagement West Side Story matinee and the Flint Hills International Children’s Festival Schools Days. Bus reimbursement is available for all schools and for all school performances.

“We’re thrilled to have such a dynamic and diverse set of performers this season. These artists offer unique styles of dance, world music and theater that enrich the educational landscape for youth in the region,” said Shelley Quiala, Ordway’s vice president of arts education and engagement. “At the Ordway we’re committed to presenting high quality arts education, and I’m so glad that students will be able to experience these fantastic performances.”

As part of its commitment to learning through the arts, the Ordway provides free grade-appropriate study guides tailored to each school performance. The Ordway also offers the Artists in the Schools Programs, which promote arts-based learning through dance, world music and musical theater.

In addition, the Ordway’s Broadway Education Club offers discount tickets to students and educators to select musical theater performances. Limited rush tickets are also available to high school students, college students and educators with valid school identification 30 minutes prior to a performance.

More than 50,000 students and teachers are expected to attend Ordway performances this school year. To date, approximately 24,000 tickets have already been booked for the 2016-2017 school performance season.
