The Ordway is committed to the health and safety of our guests, artists, and staff.
Given the outbreak of COVID-19 (Coronavirus), Minnesota Governor Walz has recommended the cancellation of all events with 250 attendees or more. In accordance with this recommendation and for the well-being of the Ordway community, we are postponing all Ordway-presented events through April 19, including Cantus’ There Lies the Home.
Cantus ticketholders will be notified directly via email regarding your options. For more updates or the latest news, go to https://ordway.org/faqcovid-19/. If you have any other questions, please feel free to contact our Ticket Office by email at email@example.com or phone at 651.224.4222.
Few journeys on our planet are more dangerous than journeys across the oceans. There Lies the Home celebrates the courage and fortitude of explorers who risked their lives on the tumultuous great blue unknown to make the world a little more connected. With riveting sea shanties such as “Lowlands” and “Shenandoah,” as well as the bombastic typhoon of Veljo Tormis’ “Muistse Mere Laulud,” There Lies the Home finally arrives back ashore with Edie Hill’s beautiful, haunting “A True Heart is Waiting.”
