One Voice Mixed Chorus’ ReMembering concert explores Minnesota’s history as a place of homecoming for immigrants as well as a place of displacement for Dakota and Ojibwe nations. Similar themes of refuge and exile for LGBTQ people appear with water as the theme that ties the stories and songs together. Designed in partnership with Ojibwe water protector Sharon Day, artist and activist Sandy Spieler, and singer-songwriter Sara Thomsen, this concert weaves choral music through true-life stories, all brought to life by life-sized puppets!
