School Performance: The Man Who Planted Trees
Approximate Run-time: 50-60 minutes
Recommended grades 1-4
$4.00 tickets + Bus Reimbursement for All!
Based on Jean Giono’s 1953 short story, The Man Who Planted Trees tells the inspiring tale of Elzéard Bouffier, a French shepherd who sets out to transform a barren wasteland into a lush forest. Acorn by acorn, the shepherd revives community around him, and teaches us about hope, perseverance, and our own ability to transform our world.
As much a touching tale of ecological stewardship as it is a hilarious puppet show, The Man Who Planted Trees shows the difference one man (and his dog!) can make to the world.
