Nobuntu, the all-female a cappella quintet from Zimbabwe, has drawn international acclaim for inventive performances that range from traditional Zimbabwean songs to Afro-jazz to gospel. Nobuntu was nominated for Best Musician of the Year at the Zimbabwe International Women Awards in London in 2015, and has performed at festivals and concert halls throughout the world.

Join us one hour before the show to watch and listen to artists from Voice of Culture, a collective of Black artists dedicated to the study of African diasporic arts and culture led by Artistic Director Kenna Cottman. This appearance will feature vocalists Jayanthi Kyle, Mankwe Ndosi, and Queen Drea and dancers Roxane Wallace and Aneka McMullen during a pre-show event facilitated by Leah Nelson, a Zimbabwean dancer, choreographer, actor, producer, and director with a passion for organizing for social change through the arts.
