At the Intersection series explores intersections of performing arts with cultures, communities, professions and organizations in Minnesota and around the world

Saint Paul, Minnesota (October 28, 2022) — The Ordway Center for the Performing Arts today announced a new free event as part of its At the Intersection series. The Ordway will host At the Intersection: Lights, Camera, Fashion—Oh My! on November 16, featuring a discussion about the intersection of costume design and fashion.

During the 90-minute event, guests will hear from Minnesota-based and nationally recognized costume and fashion designers. Pop culture influencers and collective aesthetic professionals will join an intimate conversation that elevates the connection between current trends in style and traditional costumes. There will be opportunities to learn how stories are brought to life across stages, runways and beyond.

Event panelists include Sarah Bahr, costume and scenic designer; Alexis Brazil, fashion designer for The Lexurie Collection; Samantha Crossland, fashion designer for Samantha Rei; Susan Leppke, chief operating officer (COO) of Fashion Week Minnesota; Ryan J. Moller, costume designer; and Marcus Styles, stylist and brand creator for VZNCY. Full bios are available here.

The Ordway recently launched At the Intersection, a free series of conversations and events exploring the intersection of performing arts with cultures, communities, professions and organizations in Minnesota and around the world. The series began in October with a housing justice-focused event featuring the zAmya Theater Project.

Future At the Intersection events will be announced in the coming weeks.
