Frequently asked questions
Where can I find the app?
The app can be downloaded in your device’s app store: App Store on Apple devices, and Google Play Store on Android.
Apple App StoreGoogle Play Store
What are the benefits of using the app?
A few benefits include:
You can easily transfer tickets to friends.
You can purchase tickets to upcoming events, you can buy gift certificates, or you can donate to ensure the Ordway continues to bring quality art to downtown Saint Paul.
You can access parking information, directions to the Ordway, Frequently Asked Questions, and more.
Do I need to use the app to receive tickets, and/or attend events at the Ordway?
The app is Ordway's method for offering all digital tickets. If you selected "digital delivery" during your ticket purchase, use the Ordway app when your event approaches to access them!
Ordway also continues to offer paper tickets delivered by mail, or will call ticket pickup at the Ticket Office before your event.
Can I print a PDF of my ticket? Has the print-at-home policy changed?
The Ordway has made the change from sending PDFs for printing at home to ensure your tickets are better protected and easier to scan at the theater.
The Ordway app will automatically brighten your phone screen, which provides a higher contrast for the scanners to register the ticket barcode/QR code. Additionally, the app allows for scanning from different angles—unlike paper print-at-home tickets, which need to be scanned more squarely on the barcode/QR code.
I don't have a login yet, or I don't know my account login information. What should I do?
Log in to the Ordway app using the same email address and password you use to access the Ordway ticketing website online through your browser.
If you haven't made a purchase or donation with the Ordway before, or you've used guest checkout options in the past, create a new account. You will be prompted to do so during your purchase process, or you can begin now at the link below:
Create an Ordway AccountIf you're not sure whether you have an account, try using your email address to reset your password. You can do this via the link below:
Reset your Account PasswordUpon entering your email address:
If your email address is associated with an account, you'll receive an email with instructions to reset your password and log in to your account.
If your email is not associated with an account, the page will update with a corresponding message. In this case, you can proceed to create a new account.
How do I reset my account password?
If you need to reset your Ordway account password, you can do that using the "Forgot your password?" link on the account login screen, or using the link below:
Reset your Account PasswordEnter your email address into the box labeled "Confirm Email Address." You will receive an email message at the submitted address with instructions for resetting your password and logging in to your account.
The email may take 5–10 minutes to arrive. If you have trouble finding it in your inbox, check your promotions tabs and spam filters to see if it was filtered. You can also search for a message from email address "tickets@secure.ordway.org."
I don’t see my tickets in the Ordway app. What do I do?
If they're not available immediately after your purchase, don't worry—that's intentional! Tickets will be available in the app within 48 hours of your performance.
If you are within that time frame and you still don't see your tickets, please contact the Ordway Ticket Office.

Can I provide a screenshot of my tickets or barcode?
No, a screenshot cannot be used in place of digital tickets in the app. To provide greater security for your tickets, the Ordway app has a rotating security measure which can't be replicated in a screenshot.
Can I purchase tickets in the app?
Yes, you can! To purchase tickets while in the Ordway app, select 'Events' in the bottom navigation bar to review our current and upcoming events. Once you've chosen the event you want to buy tickets to, you can make your purchases right in your mobile experience.
Do I need to buy my tickets through the app if I want them to be delivered through the app?
No! You can still purchase tickets via any of your preferred methods—over the phone, or online here at Ordway.org. To receive your tickets in the app, select "Digital delivery" as your delivery method.
Regardless of where you purchased your tickets, they will appear in your app at least 48 hours before your performance.
Can I use the app to access my tickets to all Ordway-presented performances?
Yes! The Ordway app is the only way to access digital tickets for performances presented by the Ordway.
Keep in mind, though, that the Ordway is both a performance presenter and a venue—so some shows that appear on the Ordway stage are presented by other organizations (for example, performances by the Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra, Minnesota Opera, or Schubert Club). Other organizations will continue to use their own delivery methods for tickets.
You can determine whether your performance is presented by the Ordway by looking at your ticket purchase confirmation. If it includes the Ordway logo and the Ordway.org URL near the Ticket Office information, it's an Ordway ticket!
If you need additional assistance determining which performances are presented by the Ordway, please contact the Ordway Ticket Office.

Can I use this app for my Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra/Minnesota Opera/Schubert Club tickets, too?
This app only contains tickets for shows managed by the Ordway Ticket Office, and will not have access to the tickets for events managed by our Arts Partners (Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra, Minnesota Opera, Schubert Club), even if their event is taking place at the Ordway venue. You will still need to receive your tickets from those organizations in their offered delivery methods.
Can I access my parking passes in the Ordway app?
Because the parking passes are provided by Lawson Ramp, they will not be available in the Ordway app.
Can I see my Ordway gift certificates on the app?
Not currently. You can see those if you log in to your account at Ordway.org.
Log In to Your AccountWhat data does the app track or store about me?
The app is connected to your Ordway ticket account, which is how it can serve your digital tickets. It does not independently track or store any additional information about you. As such, it follows the Ordway's existing privacy policy. Optionally, you can choose to enable location data for the app; this is not required to access the app's functionality.
How does this affect my performance experience?
The official Ordway app will help you navigate to the theater with ease by providing nearby parking locations and supplying accessibility information, using the app to scan your tickets into the performance, and other helpful Ordway information.
I have a question that isn’t on this list. Is there someone I can talk to?
Yes! Please fill out the form here, or contact the Ordway using the information below.
