Krumping is a style of street dance that has become very popular over the last few years. Krumping is free, expressive, exaggerated and involves highly energetic movements of the legs, feet, arms, head, and chest. Like other forms of street dance, Krumping is also very improvisational and krump dance moves include jabs, arm swings, chest pops and stomps. However, it is different in the fact that it is danced upright to fast-paced music.

Come learn combos and basics of the street dance style Krump with nationally and internationally recognized leader of the Kaution Family Herb “FairWarning” Johnson III.

This workshop is part of “From the Ground Up: A Celebration of Hip Hop Culture,” co-curated with Maia Maiden Productions Curator and Director, Maia Maiden. For more info, please visit: ordway.org/FromTheGroundUp
