For 20 years, the Flint Hills Family Festival has been a space for connecting the community to art. Since 2001, we have had the honor of spotlighting performers and artists of all different backgrounds. One thing has remained consistent in all the years of this festival since its inception: bringing our diverse communities together through the arts.

The Festival certainly looks different this year, but we remain committed to our defining goal of celebrating the artist in every child. Art is expressed in a multitude of ways, and our history proudly reflects that. We have had the privilege of welcoming performers from different cultural and professional backgrounds, with each and every one of them impacting us and our audiences in memorable ways.

This year, on our 20th anniversary, we are delighted to be bringing the Flint Hills Family Festival experience to you in a different fashion. The Ordway and Flint Hills Resources have put together twelve days of art and entertainment all to be enjoyed from the comfort of your own home. The virtual festival will take place from June 1–12, and will include student matinees, art-making activities, and workshops led by Festival partners, in addition to an impressive virtual performance lineup.
