Ordway’s Spring Fête to feature Broadway, opera, and classical music performances

Saint Paul, Minnesota (May 6, 2021) — The Ordway’s Spring Fête on June 17 will be a one-hour virtual gala of fun, heartwarming musical performances, one-of-a-kind auction items and a few surprises. Funds raised will go toward building the necessary resources to reopen the Ordway when it is safe to gather in person again. A portion of the proceeds will also benefit the Arts Partnership—a collaboration among the Minnesota Opera, Ordway, The Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra and Schubert Club. This year’s event, “Waiting in the Wings,” is an expression of the artists and audiences who eagerly await the day everyone can return to the Ordway to experience live performances and connect with friends and family. The event will honor Travelers for its longstanding support of the Ordway, and be hosted by WCCO-TV evening news anchor Frank Vascellaro. “The Ordway’s Producing Artistic Director, Rod Kaats, and the artistic teams at our Arts Partners have assembled an amazing group of powerhouse local musicians and singers for what promises to be an hour of joy, hope and healing,” said 2021 Spring Fête Committee Chair Terri Henneman. “It’s going to be a celebration that will make you feel like you're right here with us in person—back at the Ordway where we all belong.” Register online to watch the virtual presentation from home on June 17 at 7:00pm CDT and to access the auction that opens at noon on Sunday, June 13.
