In the deluge of news and event changes, I hope this message finds you well. I imagine that you, like so many of us, have received a number of communications regarding the outbreak of COVID-19 in Minnesota. As this outbreak reverberates through our greater performing arts community, I want to keep you up to date on all the latest Ordway news as it happens.

I’d like to note several things for you:

  • We reached out on Friday, March 13, to let you know about the postponement of our upcoming programming through April 19. You can see the full list on our COVID-19 News & FAQ page.

  • For the health and safety of our guests and staff, we’ve made an additional change to our service: our walk-in hours and call center are suspended through April 19. You can still reach our Ticket Office staff by email at weborders@ordway.org.

  • Thank you for your patience, understanding, and attention in these unusual circumstances. We are working hard to answer every guest’s email, but it may take us some time.

These are unprecedented times. We are profoundly aware of how these adjustments impact the audiences who gather in our theaters, the artists who make magic on our stages, and the staff who greet you at the front door and make it all possible from behind the scenes – and we don’t make these decisions lightly. We are working diligently to reschedule all postponed events and will let you know more as soon as we can. As always, the well-being of the entire Ordway community is our top priority.

The arts are often a source of comfort when the world feels uncertain and overwhelming. If you find yourself in a position to support the Ordway, there’s a lot you can do to sustain us through these uncertain times. Please consider making a gift, purchasing a gift certificate, or keeping your tickets for a rescheduled performance rather than requesting a refund. Your support means that when the Ordway is able to once again welcome you to a performance or activity, we will be able to do so with the warmth, comfort, and safety you have come to expect.

I will keep you informed of the latest updates as they happen. Keep checking your inbox, our COVID-19 News & FAQ, and our social media channels for more information. We’ll have exciting news for you soon – including plans for our 2020-2021 Broadway Season Launch. After all, the show will, and the show must, go on!

We’re honored by your continued engagement with the Ordway, and look forward to welcoming you back into our space in the near future. Until then, be well. I remain, Yours very truly, Jamie Grant | President & CEO
