The New Ordway Cabaret performances will feature local performers in a cabaret format, whose performances will question stereotypes and celebrate breaking barriers.  The desire to please and provoke continues the tradition of writers like Shakespeare and Puccini, whose works Romeo and Juliet and La Bohème inspired the musicals West Side Story and Rent.  In those musicals, and in South Pacific, Spring Awakening, La Cage aux Folles and many others, the way relationships are portrayed can challenge accepted beliefs about race, gender, ability and economic status.

Please note this performance may contain mature themes.
